#Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8X30 Binoculars Serial Numbers how to#Unfortunately I have no idea how to collimate the Carl Zeiss binoculars. The Jenoptem 10x50 W, as also in my arsenal, are nice for watching the sports in the wide field of view (~72°), but for the astronomy I definitely prefer the Nikon Astroluxe 10x70 and the BA8 10.5x70 The problem with the on the Deltrimen may be due to the old type of the prisms holders mechanics. The Jenoptem 7x50 W, as in my arsenal, are still the best 'seven times something' binoculars for astronomy. Regarding the contrast and the percieved resolution, it is not easy to find today anything comparable for let's say less than around 600 USD in the 8x30 class. The Deltrimens, as the later Jenoptems, have very good correction of the spherical and chromatic aberrations, and a very high contrast. The older MgF2 coatings have yielded a cold color rendition in the views, but more light on the blue wavelengths. Hence, the views in the near field appear slightly warm. The 'dark' amber multicoatings have been designed to balance the polychromatic transmissivity of light, as also required for the long range terrestrial viewing (the skylight suppression). These new binoculars have been branded 'Jenoptem'. Herewith, they have saved the manufacturing costs and became more competitive on the price point. Regarding the Jenoptem binoculars offered for lower price as noted by Holger Merlitz, the reason has been following: Around 1980, the designers at Zeiss have succeeded to considerably improve and simplify the Porro prisms mount mechanics, which used to be due to the wide spacing of the prisms in the classic Carl Zeiss Jena binoculars optics train pretty time consuming to align in the manufacturing process. Hello Rogan, and congratulations on these very nice collectible classic binoculars! I have also taken delivery of Hapo-Sport 8x30 made by Tokyo Optical (in pristine condition which will be the topic of another thread) that offer stunning views both day and night that are in perfect collimation. ![]() 8x30 isn't my astro choice and I have other 8x30 that would do nicely. It is possible that I will send these off to Suddarth Optical for collimation but if I determine that the terrestrial views are unaffected I will let it be. Nonetheless, stars are beautifully pinpoint. The were quite pretty but Aldebaran is doubled. Brighter stars 2nd magnitude and brighter are seen as noticeably double while fainter stars are single. #Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8X30 Binoculars Serial Numbers install#Wondershare Dr Fone Registration Code Crack Android Pi Datalink 2013 Install Kit on this page. Viewing at night shows to be off a bit vertically and just a tad horizontally. The view doesn't so much snap into focus and part of this seems to be due to a rather shallow depth of focus, especially for an 8x30. With my Deltrintems a properly set diopter seems essential to maximizing sharpest focus, more so than other binoculars that I have experienced. Some binoculars seem to be more forgiving to the diopter being a bit off. ![]() Focus is very much affected by the diopter setting. The build quality seems to me to be top notch. The T3M coatings impart a yellowish warm hue that my eyes see as a slight greenish hue that doesn't bother me at all. The view is without any hazing and quite bright and crisp (with one possible exception to be noted). The T3M red/brown coatings are quite pretty. The Deltrintems arrived and are in 100% cosmetic condition. #Carl Zeiss Jena Deltrintem 8X30 Binoculars Serial Numbers torrent#Torrent Propellerhead Recycle Mac Download.
